A Pair of Zenith Gouda Pottery Nerp Pattern Vases - A pair of Zenith Gouda pottery earthenware vases decorated in the Nerp pattern. Each vase features an ovoid form with a narrow neck and flared rim. The decoration consists of hand-painted matte glaze featuring large, stylized floral blooms in shades of cobalt blue, violet, ochre, and yellow with green foliage against a cream ground. The upper and lower sections are finished in a dark matte brown glaze. The neck and the transition to the base are decorated with geometric and stylized floral borders. The underside of both vases features handwritten marks in blue underglaze including the shape number 1007, the pattern name NERP, the Zenith house symbol factory mark, Gouda, and MADE IN HOLLAND. A secondary number 1550 is written in greenish-gold ink on both pieces.
