A Susie Cooper Tiger Lily Pattern Partial Earthenware Dinner Service - This partial dinner service is manufactured by Susie Cooper in the Tiger Lily pattern, also known as Red Lily, bearing the pattern number 2227. The earthenware pieces feature a central transfer-printed motif of a red lily with green foliage, set against a cream-colored ground and framed by a broad, aerographed graduated light green band that fades toward the center. The set consists of a large oval serving platter, a smaller oval serving dish, a gravy boat with a matching underplate, a cream jug, a small individual bowl, and several stacks of plates and soup bowls in multiple sizes. The reverse of the pieces is marked with a stamped brown factory mark reading A SUSIE COOPER PRODUCTION. CROWN WORKS. BURSLEM. ENGLAND. The pattern number 2227 is located within a rectangular box below the stamp, alongside a small hand-painted green mark.
