HN Humphreys - Hand coloured lithograph of British-moths 1843 - This original hand coloured lithograph arranged and illustrated by H.N. Humphreys, is from British Moths and their Transformations with characters and descriptions by J. O. Westwood, published by William Smith in London 1843. This print illustrates various moth species, including some of their caterpillar and chrysalis, and the flowers and plants they inhabit. Henry Noel Humphreys (1810–1879), was a British illustrator, naturalist, entomologist, and numismatist. The print is in excellent condition on thick, high quality paper. Size: approx 8.25in x 10.5in (21cm x 26.6cm).
