Society Porcelain Covered Vase
Up for auction is an exceptional porcelain jar. The jar’s body sits on top of a flared stem, and a square base. This piece is highlighted by the incredibly detailed snake handles. The blue color of the jar is striking and sophisticated, creating a vivid backdrop for the piece’s hand painted motif. Depicting a classical society scene, this vase shows courtship in progress with plenty of interspersed meaning and thought out imagery. It’s completely painted by hand and composed of porcelain. The vase has never been used and measures 34 inches in height by 16 inches in length and 11.5 inches in depth.
