WW2 US McCord M1 Front Seam Helmet. The batch no is 100 G which makes this April 1942 which would have made it a fixed bale, however they were always getting broken, so it was most likely repaired with swivel bales sometime during or after 1943. The helmet bares the insignia of a Captain in the 4th Infantry Division.
