A group of three Victorian medals to Corporal D Taylor of the Royal Warwickshire Regiment, Consisting of: Queens Sudan Medal 1896-98 named to: 3123 L Cpl D Taylor 1/R WAR R; Queens South Africa Medal 1899-1902 with six clasps: Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Johannesburg, Diamond Hill, Belfast and South Africa 1901. named to 3123Cpl D Taylor RI Warwick Regt; and Khedives Sudan Medal with two clasps the Atbara and Khartoum, un-named as issued. The date clasp on the QSA is loose on the ribbon as is common with this Medal. Otherwise Very Fine Condition. Corporal Taylor served with the 1st Battalion of the Royal Warwickshire Regiment in the Sudan and with the 2ndBattalion in South Africa After the Battalion was seriously afflicted with Malaria, the Survivors were sent to Bermuda in 1901, Where they were responsible for guarding Boer POWs held on the island and so failed to qualify for the clasp SOUTH AFRICA 1902. With copies of the Medal rolls confirming the clasps and a historical note on the Royal Warwickshire Regiment.
