Landscape with Stilt Houses by Tran Ha, 43x58 cm, Pastel on paper. Tran Ha (real name Tran Van Ha, 1911-1974) was a Vietnamese lacquer artist born in Tay Ninh who graduated from the Ecole des Beaux-Arts de l'Indochine in 1935, alongside Nguyen Khang. After training in the Northern Indochina school tradition, he established the renowned Tran Ha lacquer workshop in Binh Duong, producing works that blend fine-art lacquer with Southern Vietnamese decorative style. His ”Hai Ba Trung” sold for approximately USD 145,000 at Sotheby's Hong Kong in 2020. Acquired in France. This item is held at Cadmore ASIAN Office in Vietnam and will be shipped from there.
