Young Woman with Bird Cage by Le Huy Hoa, 40x33 cm, Lacquer on board. Acquired from the family of Tran Khanh Chuong. Le Huy Hoa (1932-1997) was a Vietnamese artist and founding member of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association, and the principal artist of the Vietnamese Animation Studio. He painted still lifes, landscapes, and figurative works in oil and lacquer, later shifting toward large-format symbolic realism; his ”Song of Dong Loc Crossroad” won First Prize at the 1990 National Fine Arts Exhibition.
