A French Late 19th/Early 20th Century Silver and Gemstone Set Mounted Miniature Clock. Portico design. White marble case forming a pair of columns over a rectangular plinth base with silver gilt mounts and finials. Silvered Roman chapter ring with gilt and engine turned centre. Bezel set with imitation diamonds and surmounted by an encrusted ribbon shaped cresting. Columns set with similar ribbon shapes and with a stone set filigree garland below with a hanging basket. Single train, timepiece movement with vertically mounted jewelled cylinder escapement. Engraved decoration on case backing of a sprig of leaves tied with a ribbon. Silver gilt to the interior. 14cm tall.
