Rare Alabama Rye Ant Defenders Lot of three. Fresh from a private collection in Hamilton Alabama. These Rye pottery ant defenders circa 1890s are in lime glaze and one is in a slip glaze. These are very sought after examples due to almost all of them were broken beyond repair. Two are in a lime chalky glaze (very washed glaze) both are in excellent condition only one has a small flake on outside wall rim. Both are 5 1/2"Wide The slip glazed one is larger and has normal wear glaze chips, see pictures. This one is 6 1/2" Wide
