Rare Crawfrod Co. Billy Merritt Stamped 2 Gal Jar
Rare Crawford Co. Billy Merritt Quart Jar ( 1861-1929 ) This is the third known jar with the ( Bat ) handles that we know of. The jar is in paint-rock glaze and is just outstanding form. We believe these jars were made all at one time and out of the same firing. The handles put these in a unique category of their own. The glaze is very mature and has a nice and throughs a orangish hughes on one side of the jar. The jar is in mint condition with no chips or cracks or repairs. Fresh example from a Georgia collection. Standing 11" Tall
