Rare 1866 Navy Certificate of Competency for Master Henry Garton (Later Captain) 81873. Garton Served Aboard HMS Growler. One Notable Signature is Officer of Marine Department William Marsden. An Official Seal is from the Board of Trade on January 31st, 1866. Garton Was Born in 1835 in London. Included in this lot is a Typed Letter From Captain Henry Garton on 11 November 1872 to Major General Gerald Lloyd-Verney DSO and Bar. Both Contents Housed in a Vintage H Garton Leather Wallet Issued by the Royal Navy. Showing Signs of age. Sought After Item. Good condition. All autographs come with a Certificate of Authenticity.
