Original Phillip West concept drawing 19 x 21 inches in pencil for his Painting Target the Ruhr. This lot is for both the original plus a copy of the Ruhr Print. The original is signed by West and Dambuster raid WW2 veterans G Johnny Johnson DFM, inscribed Bomb Aimer AJT, We hit the Sorpe Dam 16/17 May 43, Big Joes crew 617 Dambusters Squadron. Also signed by Les Munro pilot AJW. The Ruhr print is Artist's proof 2/10 signatures include Les Munro, Sqdn. Ldr. George 'Johnny' Johnson DFM, Mary (Wallis) Stopes-Roe (Daughter of Sir Barnes Wallis), Janet Penrose de Gaynesford (Cousin of Wg. Cdr. Guy Gibson VC), Mike Gibson (Nephew of Wg. Cdr.
