Original 17th / 18th Antique Map - The East Riding of Yorkshire by Robert Morden published by Abel Swale Awnsham & Iohn Churchil (John Churchill), a double page folio hand coloured copperplate engraved map from Gibson's English version of Camden's Britannia, either the First Edition published in 1695 or the Second Edition published in 1722. An attractive sought after map in good condition with strong colours, joined in centre (see photographs). This map has recently been conservation mounted using neutral plastic non contact archival mounting strips and corners (see photographs), another piece of mount card has then been bevel cut to hide the bits of the map you don't want to see, display the map at its best and make it ready for framing or display as it is (see photographs). As the mounting strips and corners are non contact to the map, these processes are reversible with no damage to the map. Finally, the mounted map has been wrapped in cellophane to protect it further. The overall size of the display mount is approx 53cm x 47cm (the map itself is approx 45cm x 39cm). We combine postage on multiple winning lots and can ship worldwide. UK postage from £5.99, EU from £7.99, Rest of World from £9.99
