Served 1st Crew to take Lancaster on Ops, also Signed Flt Lt Learoyd VC 49 Squadron HP Hampden pilot bombing an aqueduct of the Dortmund - Ems Canal on 12 August 1940. aircraft safely upon return CO 44 Sqn December 1941 to May 1942.
