Shane Warne & Muttiah Muralitharan signed Limited Edition Lithograph with COA This absolutely stunning item of signed Cricket Memorabilia a striking action lithograph that takes you on a photographic and factual journey through Shane Warne and Muttiah Muralitharan's continuing battle to become the world's greatest wicket taker.
Personally signed by both spinners and independently authenticated and certified by the major chartered accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers, 'Record Pursuit' is available in a strictly limited edition of 350Officially licensed by Cricket Australia and Sri Lanka Cricket, each are individually numbered and measure in at a large and impressive 650mm by 450mmRivals, friends, headline-makers and two of the world's greatest bowlers, Shane Warne and Muttiah Muralitharan will remember 2004 as a watershed in their colourful careers, with both spinners passing 500 Test wickets and continuing their 'battle' to become the world's greatest-ever wicket taker Their race to be the first spin bowler to take 500 wickets was a classic ' cat and mouse' struggle during Australia's 3-Test series in Sri Lanka in March 2004. After a well-publicised and determined duel, Warne was victorious, taking wicket number 500 on March 12, during the 1st Test in Galle. By the end of the tour, the ledger read: Warne 517 wickets, Muralitharan 513 - with West Indian great Courtney Walsh's world record of 519 wickets ready to be broken It was Muralitharan who first claimed that illustrious 'crown', passing Walsh's record during Sri Lanka's Test series against Zimbabwe in May 2004. The champion off-spinner set a new world record when he captured his 520th wicket in the 1st Test in Harare on May 8. Muralitharan then dismissed a further seven Zimbabwean batsmen in the series to take his tally to 527.
Shane Warne's quest to overhaul Muralitharan in the world wicket-taking began in the two-Test series against Sri Lanka in Darwin and Cairns in July. Warne took 3 wickets in the 1st Test in Darwin to move within reach of Muralitharan, before equalling his world record mark with a sensational haul of 7 wickets in the 2nd Test in Cairns!
Warne held the record until it was broken by Muralitharan on December 3, 2007A superb item of Cricket Memorabilia to celebrate the two statistically greatest Bowlers of all time!
