Jack Slipper (1924-2005) and Leonard 'Nipper' Read (1925-2020), British police officers dual signed Metropolitan Police FDC. Jack Slipper was known as ”Slipper of the Yard”. He was mainly known for his role in investigating the Great Train Robbery of 1963, and in tracking down Ronnie Biggs after he escaped from prison in 1965, although he had to leave Brazil without Biggs. Leonard 'Nipper' Read was detective chief superintendent of the Met's Murder Squad in 1967, and the efforts of detectives led by him were responsible for the conviction of Ronnie and Reggie Kray.
