Rare Letter Signed by Churchill Pilot Ascalon C Slee. Loaned to 24 Sqn Handwritten Letter dated 2 4 75 Signed by Ascalon C Slee was Pilot of Ascalon on a trip with W Churchill in May 43 and his Majesty in June 1943 were Wg Cdr Collins Captain as he was CO of 24 Sqn and also had BOAC Experience, Myself Pilot loaned to 24 Sqn from AYAEE Boscombe Down. Because at that time I was about the only RAF Pilot with Experience on Yorks, 2nd Pilot Sqn Ldr Frazer, Sqn Ldr Mitchell, Navigator Flt Lt Gallaghen Radio operator Flt Lt Payne, Flight Engineer and Cpl Shephard Stewart.
