On I 9 Sep 1931 Appointed to a Commission in the Somerset Light Infantry, 22 Sep 193 Appointed to a Short Service Commission. 22 Sep 1933 Initial Officer Training, RAF Depot, 7 Oct 1933 U T Pilot, No 3 FTS, 2 Sep 1934 Pilot, No 16 (Army Cooperative Sqn) 26 Apr 1937 Attended School of Aeronautical Engineering. 22 Sep 1939 Appointed to a Permanent Commission in the rank of Flight Lieutenant. 24 Apr 1940 Transferred to the Technical Branch. 7 Aug 1945 Deputy Director, Directorate General of Servicing and Maintenance. 10 Oct 1946 Senior Engineer Officer, Rhodesian Air Training Group.
