Louis XIV signature piece 'The Sun King ' louis XIV OF France reigned for 72 years. A large single off white page featuring an untranslated letter in French approx 9. 5x14. 5 inch dated May 1, 1701. The letter regards an officer's service in the royal forces. In good condition with toning, soiling and scattered spotting, folds small minor holes and partial edge separations not affecting the signature and paper loss from opening of seal to blank lower portion of document mounted to card.
