Rare RAFSP1c Gutersloh 18 Sqn, Signed, Covers dropped in Bremerhaven harbour. 26 6 73 Gutersloh 18 Sqn - German version, Covers were dropped in Bremerhaven harbour during their return by post to England. They bear additional cachet in red on the front "" Durch wasser beim Transport von Deutschland nach England beschadigt "" and an additional black backstamp at the Royal Air Force Museum Hendon. Personally Signed by Pilot Sqn Ldr K Johnston and Navigator Flt Lt W J Henson. See RAF Museum Reference Book Notes 2. RAF(SP)1c. A total of 339 Covers were dropped in the Harbour, 61 as above and 278 of RAF12a and 12b. They are numbered as a total package i.e. up to 339. Certified Copy no 289 of 339.
