Personally Signed by Warrant Officer Alec Shaw Bates 1939 - 45 Star, Aircrew Europe Clasp Defence and Victory Medals. Served with 5 Group Bomber Command 619 Squadron - Woodhall Spa 54 Base HQ Coningsby 617 Squadron Woodhall Spa. Theatres of Operation US Navy, Jacksonville and Pensacola Europe. Member of Wg Cdr J R Jeudivines crew and later Sqn Ldr J V Cockshotts crew. Tirpitz on many Raid, Urft Dam, Arnsberg raid. Also Signed by F A Cardwell 617 Sqn Navigator Anning's Crew Tirpitz Raid 12th Nov 1944 with 44 Sqn 32 operations, 617 Sqn 16 operations. His many raids were on the Tirpitz Operation Catechism, Urft Dam, Politz, Rotterdam, Oslo Fjord ( Shipping) Bielefeld, Arnsberg, Nienburg, Farge, Swinmunde on the 16th April 1945 and Dortmund Ems Canal.
