Navy cover 2RN12c 1st Launch Aircraft from Ship Signed The Earl Mountbatten of Burma. 8 May 78 - BFPS 1609 - 64th Anniversary of the Launch of Plane (527) From Ship (HMS Hiberia) Underway. Personally Signed by Major Samson son of Lt. Samson who made the launch in 1912 also signed by Admiral of the Fleet The Earl Mountbatten of Burma Pilot who flew in S. 27 in 1911. During the 1939-1945 war he served on HMS Kelly and was Supreme Commander in South East Asia. He was last Viceroy and first Governor General of India during the transition of power in 1947.
