RFDC16 Christmas Greeting from the Falklands Signed P Squire Ex Falklands Pilot. 17 Nov 82 Bethlehem postmark on Full Set of Christmas stamps. Christmas Greeting from the Falkland Islands. Flown from RAF Lyneham to Ascension Islands via Daker in Hercules MK1 XV 299 and then flown from Ascension Island to the Falkland Islands in Hercules MK1 XV 196 requiring two inflight refuelling operations, The Aircraft flew over Port San Carlos, Goose Green, Fitzroy and the Battlefields in the Hills surrounding Port Stanley before landing on the short runway there which has since been closed for lengthening and improvement. Personally Signed Gp Capt A King OBE Commanding RAF Wittering and Wg Cdr P. C. Squire Commanding No 1 (Harrier ) Sqn who fought in the Falkland Campaign. With red Cachet and 5 backstamps. Certified Copy No 194 of 1600 Signed Pilot Officer J Harrison. Good condition. All autographs come with a Certificate of Authenticity.
