WW2 Desert AF F/O Ken Cockram 112 sqn signed scarce Curtiss P40 Kittyhawk Biography Card. 7 x 5 inch limited edition Printed card with border, perfect for matting or use as bookplate. While in the forces, Mr Cockram trained in southern Rhodesia before flying in the Desert Air Force - made up of UK, Australian and South African fliers - in Egypt. He was moved swiftly on, in 1943, to Libya, where he joined the 112 Shark Squadron, flying P-40 Kittyhawks in Sicily, Italy and Yugoslavia. Documenting his time in the RAF, Mr Cockram wrote he flew 129 missions. While in 112 Squadron, he totalled 198 hours flying time. During that time, the group lost 24 pilots, 14 of them killed. He returned to Egypt in 1944 and then England in October, 1945 and was posted to a secret RAF base as commanding officer. Good condition. All autographs come with a Certificate of Authenticity.
