Sketched on paper a drawing of 'The Gasworks Restaurant', 87, Waterford Road, S.W.6 with the gasworks on the right-hand side and a diagram indication of North. Also drawn with several people in road. All in black ink against white background by Edward Ardizzone. This is a unique item by Ardizzone whilst a lecturer at art college carrying out commercial work of this type. Extra to his duties at the college, and in these circumstances is a fine example of the type of work he carried out beside his achievement in book illustration. This sheet is eminently frameable.
