Personally Signed Kenneth Ambrose Walsh was the fourth ranking United States Marine Corps Fighter Ace in WW11 with 21 enemy planes destroyed. At the time of the attack on pearl Harbour, he was a technical sergeant, becoming a Warrant Office in May 1942, and was commissioned a year later. He was also one of a handful of Marine aviators qualified as an aircraft carrier landing signal officer. Assigned to VMF -124, flew in 1st Vought F4U Corsair Sqn. The unit arrived at Guadalcanal in February 1943 He claimed his first three Japanese planes on April 1, 1943 and two more in his next combat, May 13, 1943, becoming the first Corsair ace.
