WW2 Channel Dash Swordfish Veterans Signed Cover JS50/42/01 Charles M. Kingsmill and Edgar F. Lee signed The Channel Dash Operation Cerberus FDC, stamped Feb 1992. Cover depicts Lieutenant Commander Euguene Esmonde leading six fleet air arm Fairey Swordfish in an unsuccessful torpedo attack off the Kent coast against the German battle cruisers Scharnhorst and Gneisenau. Cover bears 20p Victoria Cross Gallantry stamp as Esmonde was posthumously awarded the Victoria Cross for his part in the action. Cover has been signed by two of the 4 survivors of the Channel Dash.
