The cover carries a New Zealand stamp cancelled with a Special Hand Stamped N.Z.F.P.O. 96 postmark and has been signed by six New Zealand recipients of the Victoria Cross: Corporal Cyril Bassett VC; Sergeant Harry Laurent VC (Stamped autograph not hand signed); Sergeant Jack Hinton VC; Sergeant Alfred Clive Hulme VC; Sergeant Keith Elliott VC and one of only three men to have been awarded the Victoria cross on two occasions, Captain Charles Upham VC & Bar.
