After the invasion of Kuwait by Iraqi Forces No XV Sqn deployed to Muharraq in Bahrain in November 1990. in the early hours of 17 Jan 91 Flt Lt Cockerill flew as No8 in one of the first RAF Night low level attacks into Iraq.
