George D'Outremont WW2 SOE resistance hero signed 1984 Liberation of Brussels cover RAFES35. During World War II, he was a member of the French Resistance and an agent of the British Special Air Service, carrying out missions in France and Belgium, notably within the Comet and Possum networks. After the Normandy landings, he fought in Belgium during the Battle of the Bulge, participated in the liberation of the Netherlands, and continued his service in Germany until May 1945.
