Air Commodore Alan Christopher ”Al” Deere (1917-1995) was a highly distinguished New Zealand RAF fighter ace and key Battle of Britain pilot. Flying Spitfires with 54 Squadron from Hornchurch, he achieved 22 confirmed victories, 10 during the Battle of Britain. Renowned for surviving nine near-death incidents, his memoir is titled ”Nine Lives”. Good condition. Part of Single Vendor collection.
