Les Allison signed Canadians in the Royal Air Force by Les Allison The book provides a meticulously researched historical record of approximately 2,000 Canadians who enlisted directly in the British Royal Air Force (RAF), primarily during the pre-World War II era. Because Canada’s own air force was initially small, many eager Canadian aviators traveled overseas to join the RAF. This unique contingent went on to play a critical, outsized role in early wartime campaigns like the Battle of Britain. An essential reference book. Signed copies on Abebooks are price between £32 and £92.
