WW2 Fairey Swordfish colour 8x12 inch photo signed by Lieutenant Commander John ”Peter” Beresford DSC (1923–2020) who was a decorated Fleet Air Arm pilot best known for flying the Fairey Swordfish biplane during World War. He flew off escort carriers (like HMS Tracker and HMS Chaser) on perilous trans-Atlantic and Arctic convoy duties. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross (DSC) for locating and destroying a German U-boat using armour-piercing rockets during a dramatic dive, returning to his carrier with only five minutes of fuel remaining
