WW2 Group Captain 'Flash' Pleasance DFC signed FDC. RAF Fiji 75th ann of the Royal Air Force 1918-1993. Group Captain Harold Percival ”Flash” Pleasance DFC (1914-2004) was a highly decorated British Royal Air Force (RAF) officer and night-fighter ace. Commissioned into the RAF in 1936, he served initially in Egypt and Kenya before flying Bristol Blenheims with No. 107 Squadron during the early stages of World War II. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC) for his conspicuous bravery and skill while undertaking dangerous night-flying operations. Throughout the war, he survived multiple crash landings and went on to fly Beaufighters with No. 25 Squadron, where he successfully scored aerial victories against Luftwaffe aircraft. By 1945, Pleasance reached the rank of Group Captain, serving as an Air Liaison Officer in the Far East during the Burma Campaign. Good condition Est.
