He is best known as the aircraft captain who flew the B-29 Superfortress known as the Enola Gay when it dropped a Little Boy, the first of two atomic bombs used in warfare, on the Japanese city of Hiroshima. Colonel Thomas Wilson Ferebee was a United States Air Force officer who served in World War II and the Vietnam War. He was the bombardier aboard the B-29 Superfortress, Enola Gay, which dropped the atomic bomb ”Little Boy” on Hiroshima in 1945, Theodore Jerome ”Dutch” Van Kirk was a navigator in the United States Army Air Forces, best known as the navigator of the Enola Gay when it dropped the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima. Upon the death of fellow crewman Morris Jeppson on March 30, 2010, Van Kirk became the last surviving member of the Enola Gay crew. Good condition. Part of Single Vendor collection.
