A mid-20th Century Mottled Bakelite Tea Caddy - A mid-20th century tea caddy constructed from mottled brown and reddish-orange phenolic resin. The vessel features a cylindrical body resting on three small integral feet. It is fitted with a removable domed lid characterized by four radiating fins and a perimeter of vertical ribbing in the Art Deco style. The front of the canister displays a textured rectangular cartouche embossed with the word Tea in a script font. The interior is finished in the same dark mottled resin, and no maker marks or country of origin stamps are visible on the base or interior surfaces. Height: Approximately 4.5 to 5 inches.
