Bidspirit auction | A 1983 Dorothy Dick Carved

A 1983 Dorothy Dick Carved Wood Reclining Figure - A modernist reclining figure hand-carved from a single block of light-toned wood by the artist Dorothy Dick. The sculpture is executed in a biomorphic style, featuring an undulating, abstracted human form. The surface retains visible chisel marks and a natural finish that highlights the grain of the solid timber. The proper left foot is incised with the artist initials and date of creation, reading DD 83. The figure is designed to rest directly on its base without a separate plinth or mounting. Length: Approximately 18 to 20 inches.
