A 19th Century Inlaid Hardwood Spinning Chair - An antique three-legged spinning chair constructed from stained hardwood. The chair features a tall, tapered backrest with a narrow waist and a pierced heart motif at the crest. The octagonal seat is supported by three turned and splayed legs which are socketed directly into the underside of the seat frame. The piece is decorated with light-colored wood stringing on the backrest and a central circular inlay. The seat displays a radiating marquetry pattern composed of alternating light and dark wood segments. No maker marks, stamps, or labels are visible on the surfaces.
