1969 John Lennon Autographed Paper Fragment and Collection of Bibles - A 1969 autographed paper fragment signed by John Lennon, accompanied by a pair of mid-20th-century Oxford Text Bibles. The autograph consists of the signature ”John Lennon” applied in blue ink to a fragment of light-colored paper measuring 6cm x 9.5cm. The paper has been mounted onto a white cardstock backing with a window-cut mat. On the reverse of the mount, a circular holographic authentication seal is present, bearing the number ”0612”. A Letter of Authenticity from Garry King of GarryKing.co.uk accompanies the signature. The document, dated 2 July 2026, identifies the signature as an authentic example in blue biro obtained in June 1969 following Lennon's car accident and subsequent hospital stay. The letter features a matching holographic seal ”0612” and a purple ink signature from the authenticator. The lot also includes two pocket-sized Bibles published by Oxford University Press. One is bound in black textured leather with a handwritten inscription on the flyleaf in blue ink reading ”The Lord is your Shepherd. Grace Sutherland McCulloch 19th August 1964”.
