Liberty Brass Siddhapratima Jain Icon - A 20th-century brass icon representing a Siddha, the liberated soul in the Jain tradition. The piece is cast from solid brass with a polished front surface and textured, filed edges. It features a stylized silhouette of a human form cut out from a vertical rectangular plaque, topped with a flame-like finial representing the Shikha. The central void is flanked by two tapered vertical rods, with a smaller bifurcated rod positioned in the center. The entire structure is mounted to a stepped rectangular brass base. The underside of the base retains an aged yellow paper adhesive label. The label features a stylized printed wordmark reading LIBERTY, positioned above a handwritten or stamped price of £17.50. The top of the label is marked with the alphanumeric code B // 5 . 44. A fragment of a green circular paper label is also present on the base, though it contains no legible text.
