19th Century Silver and Agate Brooch - An antique 19th-century openwork brooch crafted from silver and inset with polished agates. The circular piece features a center Maltese cross design framed by a patterned border. It is set with hand-cut geometric panels of red jasper and dark green bloodstone. The reverse is fitted with a long horizontal pin, a tube hinge, a C-clasp, and a small auxiliary loop. The silver framework is embellished with engraved Celtic-inspired borders and small stamped flower medallions. The reverse of the cross bears an impressed diamond-shaped British design registration mark with a crown symbol above it, though the internal alphanumeric codes are worn and illegible.
