Glasgow School Arts & Crafts Aluminum Wall Mirror - A round Arts & Crafts wall mirror featuring a hammered aluminum frame with floral motifs and enamel accents with connections to the Glasgow School. Diameter of 40cm The frame is constructed from three sections of hammered aluminum joined by circular cabochons. The metalwork features a textured, hand-beaten finish throughout the border. The mirror plate is secured within the metal housing, which is attached to a dark-painted wooden or composite board backing. Two sections of the frame are decorated with repousse botanical designs consisting of a central four-petaled flower flanked by elongated leaves and buds. Three circular cabochons are inset at equidistant points, each finished in a mottled pink and purple enamel glaze. The reverse is fitted with two metal eyelets and a rusted hanging chain.
