Victorian 18 carat Yellow Gold and Seed Pearl Crescent Brooch - An antique 19th-century crescent moon brooch crafted from 18 carat yellow gold and set with seed pearls. The piece is designed in a tapering crescent form featuring a double row of grain-set pearls. The reverse is fitted with a 14 carat gold pin attached to a wide coiled hinge and secured by a traditional C-clasp mechanism. Approximately 37 graduated seed pearls decorate the face, varying in tone from creamy white to light gray. Fine unreadable stamped characters are present on the reverse tips and pin assembly, and the piece is accompanied by a retailer presentation box from Kenneth Moore Jewellers of Inverness.
