19th Century Scottish Stag Horn and Silver Plate Thistle Carving Set - A vintage four-piece Scottish-themed carving and serving set featuring natural stag horn handles. The set is constructed with high-carbon steel blades and tines, fitted into textured stag horn (antler) handles. The group includes a large carving knife, a smaller utility knife, a carving fork with a hinged finger guard, and a tapered sharpening steel. The handles are finished with silver plate decorative mounts. Each pommel is cast in the form of a thistle, while the ferrules feature embossed thistle leaves against a stippled background. A recessed rectangular stamp on the ferrules reads RD 233868, identifying the design as a British registered design from 1894. Length: approximately 12 to 14 inches for the largest knife.
