Bidspirit auction | A Trio of 19th Century

A Trio of 19th Century Salt Glazed Stoneware Vessels - A trio of utilitarian salt glazed stoneware vessels comprising a cylindrical storage jar and a pair of matching pitchers. The storage jar is finished with a two-tone glaze featuring a glossy honey-brown slip to the rim and shoulder over a matte off-white body. It is constructed with a short neck, a rounded rim, and a slightly sloped shoulder. The two pitchers are of uniform light tan color with bulbous bodies, wide necks, and pinched pouring spouts. Each pitcher is fitted with a single D-shaped handle applied to the side. No maker marks, capacity stamps, or signatures are visible on any of the vessels. The vessels exhibit characteristic kiln imperfections, including surface pitting and small spots of glaze loss. The storage jar shows vertical drip staining to the lower body.
