19th Century Carved Pine Breakfront Wardrobe - A late 19th-century breakfront wardrobe constructed from pine with a light honey-toned finish. The wardrobe features a triple-front design with a large central door housing a beveled-edge mirror plate. The flanking solid wood panels are detailed with recessed vertical reeding and central square medallions featuring hand-carved floral relief depicting a stylized sunflower with surrounding foliage. The piece is crowned by a deeply molded, stepped architectural cornice and stands on a base containing a single full-width drawer with a shaped apron and bracket feet. The interior is lined in dark green paper or paint and is fitted with a series of cast metal double-prong coat hooks along the back and side walls, plus a triple-prong hook mounted to the ceiling. The central door is fitted with an ornate brass Art Nouveau escutcheon featuring a drop-ring handle and a decorative key, while the base drawer features two matching cast metal bail handles with decorative backplates.
