19th Century and Vintage British Beverage and Medicinal Bottles - An assortment of ten vintage and antique glass and ceramic vessels, including mineral water bottles, spirit decanters, and apothecary jars. The glass collection features three Hamilton-style aqua-green glass torpedo bottles with rounded bases and one aqua-green glass Codd-neck bottle with a pinched neck design for a marble seal. Two clear glass bottles are included, one featuring an embossed seated figure and an oxidized metal cap. Two glazed ceramic decanters complete the group: one black-glazed spirit decanter with a matching stopper and one two-tone cream and purple stoneware flagon with a handle and matching stopper. Embossed markings on the glass vessels include W. LANT & CO COVENTRY, THE GLASS COY ST. HELENS, and B. P. B. W. L. & S. DUMBARTON & HELENSBURGH. The Codd-neck bottle bears the name JAMES FORRES INVERNESS. The clear apothecary bottle is embossed GREENOCK APOTHECARIES LAWSONS LTD WATSON ST. The black decanter features a white transfer print of the British Royal Coat of Arms and reads E R 1977 THE QUEEN'S SILVER JUBILEE, while the stoneware flagon depicts a hunter in a green hat and red coat. A small chocolate confection in red foil is present but not part of the vessel collection.
