A Trio of Mid-Century Italian and Irish Ceramic Wares - A trio of vintage ceramic items consisting of a large electric lamp base, a handled vase, and a studio pottery bowl. The largest piece is a dual-handled lamp base featuring a bulbous body with circular perforations and four ornate scrollwork handles. It is finished in a high-gloss brown and tan drip glaze. The interior electrical components are present at the top neck, though no maker marks or labels are visible on the ceramic body. The decorative handled vase features a heavily textured surface with raised molded scrollwork and medallions. It is finished in a polychrome glaze of green, yellow, and orange-brown. The base of the piece is impressed with the word ITALY in capital letters. The low cylindrical bowl features a mustard-yellow base with a textured turquoise and brown rim glaze. The underside is stamped in black ink with ARKLOW • STUDIO • POTTERY, REPUBLIC • OF • IRELAND, and A JOHN • FFRENCH • DESIGN. An incised numeral 2 is also present on the base.
