Bidspirit auction | A Collection of Vintage Steel

A Collection of Vintage Steel and Stag Butchery and Leatherworking Tools - A collection of vintage utilitarian tools comprising butchery, leatherworking, and sporting cutlery items. The group features a 19th-century leatherworker's head knife, also known as a round knife, constructed with a semi-circular carbon steel blade and a brass bolster set into a turned wooden handle. The blade is clearly impressed with the maker's name Joseph Dixon and the word Warranted in uppercase block lettering. Also included is a sporting utility knife featuring a stainless steel blade with a molded black plastic handle and brass fittings. The handle is embossed with the name Normark in a stylized serif font. The knife is accompanied by a fitted brown leather sheath with a belt loop. The collection further contains two sharpening steels with turned wooden handles and metal hanging rings, and a meat carving fork. The fork is designed with two steel tines and a hinged safety guard, finished with a textured handle made from stag horn.
